Cameron Highland Family Trip 2016 - Day 1

Hello and wishing everyone happy always. I don't know if my blog has any readers or not! Haha! If there is, hope you all are well. I had just came back from my recent holiday with my family. Yep, I know, I went to a lot of holidays this year and I take note of that! Well this holiday was planned last month, last minute to go with my youngest brother before he leaves Ipoh to Assunta Nursing College for his Diploma in Nursing. Yes! We're going to have a male nurse in the family. I'm so proud of this.

Ok. We all departed from Ipoh around 7.30 am and reached Cameron Highland around 10.15 am. My brothers and I had made a promise to take a new picture of us 6 years after our first Cameron Highland trip. And here's the difference.

Haha. My brother Lawrence had gained some weight obviously, and Hugo grew taller. I myself, have less hair after delivering my son! And, 3 of us became fairer obviously.

Ok, let's continue on our holiday journey. We had a small hiccup between the journey as we all went all the way to Gopeng through the highway, and missed the Simpang Pulai tol to Cameron Highland. We quickly made a U-turn at the Gopeng tol and made our way back to Cameron Highland. The journey was smooth and we reached there safely. We stopped at the first stop - Garden View Cafe. This stop has developed a lot since our last visit last year! BTW, this garden is free admission. It's located beside the Avant Chocolate, and it's on your left side if you come from Simpang Pulai direction.

Hello from us!
This is the new garden with lights and wishing bottles

Mum and aunty took this beautiful picture in the garden

There is also new 'paddle boat pool' for kids to play. RM8 for 15 minutes boat paddling
We all took this opportunity to take lots of pictures here - selfies, wefies and pictures of the sceneries.

Not forgetting, family photo. Hello, here's a beautiful picture of my small family. See the lovely flowers behind us?

This place is special for the petting zoo in it. It has rabbit farm and duck farm. Admission is RM3 if I'm not mistaken.

Rabbits!
Walking further into the garden, you can see sea of hydroponic vegetables.

Green vegetables

Another side of the garden is this iconic windmill. It's not functioning so it's great for photographs. We had some pictures taken here as well.

Me and my man! If you take a close look, you can see a photo bomber behind the windmill!

The garden's flowers are so colorful, making our morning feels great

We then quickly stopped to grab our tea in the cafe. We ordered cakes and soups! Cameron Highlands is a place for delicious cakes, coffee and tea. Each place we go, we will grab some drinks and food! I made a picture collage of the food there!

Yummy cakes and breads
After our tea, we drove all the way to Brinchang to meet with Dave to get our apartment's key. I'd booked a penthouse from Dave at Desa Anthurium. Desa Anthurium is located between Brinchang and Kea Farm. This penthouse is really spacious, well maintained, clean and comfortable. Nothing to complain of.
The living room, kitchen, mini bar and dinind area

It has two balconies and the rooms are all located upstairs as compared to usual apartment.
After reaching, we all quickly put down our luggage, had our steambot lunch by the balcony! Really fun and cool!

First day was a simple day. We stayed indoor to rest during the afternoon and watched Astro. We went out around 6pm to Brinchang night market. Sorry no photos taken as we rushed home due to rain. We had to dine in at our penthouse that night.

Yummylicious food. Not very healthy though
After dinner, we all played cards while watching Fast and Furious 7. Later around 9.30pm, we all drove to Tanah Rata for a simple mamak sytle supper and reach home around 11pm to sleep. First day just ends like that!

Stay tuned for my 2nd day post HERE!

Love,
Grace
